HistoryRegina T. Drexler graduated from the University of Colorado School of Law and has practiced in Denver, Colorado since 1991. Ms. Drexler's practice emphasizes commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and intellectual property matters.
Ms. Drexler represents a wide range of small- to medium-sized businesses, many of which are successful family-held and owner-managed businesses. Ms. Drexler routinely advises these clients on issues ranging from initial planning, formation, structuring, financing, and operations to mergers, acquisitions, sale, and liquidation. Her clients are involved in a variety of business activities, including manufacturing, equipment leasing, broadcasting, internet services, restaurant operations, retail, aviation, and technology and development. With respect to mergers and acquisitions, Ms. Drexler has represented clients either purchasing or selling businesses, including manufacturers, retail suppliers, franchisees, disaster restoration services, broadcasting, and promotions, among others. In the course of her representation of these clients, Ms. Drexler worked with accountants, business brokers, and other professionals to ensure that all significant aspects of her client's goals were achieved.
Ms. Drexler regularly provides guidance and counsel to clients with respect to complex intellectual property issues. In this regard, Ms. Drexler advises clients on issues related to trademark and service mark registration, prosecution, and opposition proceedings. Ms. Drexler has also successfully advised and represented clients with respect to claims of trademark and trade dress infringement, licensing, and unfair competition. Ms. Drexler regularly counsels clients with regard to copyright registration, licensing, and infringement issues, as well as patent licensing and infringement matters.
Ms. Drexler also often consults with clients and recommends preventive measures to reduce the risk of liability for employment-related claims. In this regard, Ms. Drexler regularly advises clients with respect to employment manuals, employment contracts, consulting agreements, covenants not to compete, and trade secret agreements. Ms. Drexler has extensive experience with a variety of employment-related matters, including those involving Title VII, Americans with Disabilities Act, Occupational Safety and Health Act, Family and Medical Leave Act, Fair Labor Standards Act, wrongful discharge, trade secrets, non-compete agreements, off-duty conduct, defamation, negligent retention and supervision, and other employment-related claims. |
